Introduction to NGO

Organization of Public Health and Environment Management is a non-governmental, nonpolitical, non-profit making; member-based social development organization established by the group of professionals and development workers with long experience in the development sector. This organization has been registered as an NGO under the Organization Registration Act of Nepal, affiliated and related with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) and other Networks.

Objectives of Organization

Take initiative to conduct training, meeting and seminar helping in overall growth and development of young researchers working in the field of public concern related to public health, water, energy, land and environment.
Take initiative to conduct public training and awareness programs related to optimum utilization of natural resources and heritage, their preservation, development and proper distribution.
Take initiative in conservation of community based traditional skills and site – based technology while using them optimally in operation of development projects.
Take initiative to conduct different activities in cooperation with various government and non – government organizations having identical objectives in order to meet organization’s objectives.
Take approval of concerned departments for conducting activities in order to meet organization’s objective, wherever required.

This organization is non – profit, non – political social organization. It shall work for the benefit of the society.
Conduct study and research related to public health, water, energy, land and environment and also assist on such studies and research.
Conduct study and research on negative impact on public health, water, energy, land and environment due to climate imbalance around the globe because of climate change and also assist on such studies and research.
Take initiative to help Nepal Government in making plans, policies, and acts related to public health, water, energy, land and environment.
Help in Nation’s growth through intellectual and insightful discussion on public concern related to public health, water, energy, land and environment.

About Founder

Bijay Man Shakya obtained his Ph.D. at the Department of Natural, Biotic, and Social Environmental Engineering from the University of Yamanashi, Japan in March 2020. He completed his Master’s degree with a specialization in Hydrogeology from the Department of Geology, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. With the combined support of University of Yamanashi, Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA), Japan Science and Technology (JST), and Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board (KVWSMB) he is eager to connect the dots in identifying the groundwater system of the Kathmandu valley, Nepal.
